Busbar trunking systems are an indispensable component of power transmission equipment. This article examines how to properly select a busbar trunking system from the perspectives of materials, dimensions, and installation location. Only by choosing the appropriate busbar trunking system can reliable support be provided for the normal operation of the power system.
First, we must consider the material of the busbar trunking system. Busbar trunking systems can be made from a variety of materials, including copper, aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. Copper and aluminum are the most common choices due to their excellent electrical conductivity, making them well suited for applications involving high-load currents. Steel and stainless steel, on the other hand, are typically used in outdoor environments or in highly corrosive conditions. Of course, the selection of the appropriate material should be based on the specific application requirements.
Secondly, we need to consider the dimensions of the busbar trunking system. The selection of busbar trunking size depends on the required current load and the number of cables. If a higher current load is required, a larger-sized busbar trunking must be chosen. If more cables need to be routed, a busbar trunking with additional slots should be selected.
Finally, the installation location of the busbar trunking system must be carefully considered. Busbar trunking is typically installed between two adjacent pieces of electrical equipment, such as a transformer and a switchgear cabinet. The selection of the installation location and mounting holes should be determined based on the overall architecture of the power system. Importantly, the installation location must facilitate easy inspection and maintenance.
When selecting busbar trunking systems, it is essential not only to consider the three aspects mentioned above but also a broader range of factors, such as cost and the manufacturer. By gaining a comprehensive understanding of the busbar trunking’s materials, dimensions, and installation location, we can choose the system that best suits our needs, thereby laying a solid foundation for the reliable operation of the power system.

Zhenjiang Ximenzi Conducts EHS Professional Knowledge and Internal Trainer Training
On December 12, Zhenjiang Siemens invited a professional instructor from Shanghai Qian’an Environmental Protection Company to deliver EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) expertise training and internal trainer development sessions. More than 20 participants, including heads and supervisors of the Production Department, equipment administrators, and selected frontline employees, attended the training. The curriculum covered mechanical safety safeguards, hazard identification, and risk assessment, with an introduction to practical tools such as energy control and lockout/tagout procedures. During the session, the instructor enhanced trainees’ understanding of how unsafe behaviors lead to accidents by showing short animated videos on behavioral safety. This training marked the first phase of the company’s EHS program; going forward, Zhenjiang Siemens will implement a comprehensive EHS training plan as scheduled to further elevate the company’s EHS management standards.
