Busbar trunking systems are highly efficient power distribution devices, particularly well suited to the rational wiring requirements of high-rise buildings and large industrial facilities. With the advent of modern engineering infrastructure and equipment, electricity consumption across all sectors has increased rapidly, especially in the construction of numerous high-rise buildings and large-scale industrial plants. Traditional cable-based transmission lines can no longer meet the demands of high-current distribution systems, and the parallel installation of multiple cables creates significant challenges for on-site installation and connection work.

Traditional cables, as transmission lines, can no longer meet the demands of high-current systems, and the parallel use of multiple cables creates significant challenges for on-site installation and connection work. In response, the busbar trunking system has emerged as a new type of power-distribution conductor. Compared with conventional cables, it fully demonstrates its advantages in handling high currents. Moreover, thanks to the adoption of advanced technologies and manufacturing processes, the contact resistance and temperature rise at the end connections and branch tap-offs of the busbar trunking have been substantially reduced. The use of high-quality insulating materials further enhances its safety and reliability, thereby making the entire system more robust and comprehensive.


Requirements for Busbar Trunking Systems


1. The busbar trunking system adopts a technology-intensive “three-model structure.”


2. Except at the interface, there is no gap between busbar runs.


3. The continuous space of the bus lane shall be enclosed by partitions to prevent the spread of smoke and gases through the bus lane in the event of a fire. When the bus lane does not penetrate walls or floors, it will not create a “chimney effect” that could facilitate the propagation of fire along vertical paths. The insulation materials used in the bus lane shall pass flame-retardancy tests.


4. The connection performance shall be reliable, with contact resistance kept as low as possible; the connection procedure shall meet the requirement for rapid assembly, employing a single-bolt connection and incorporating torque-control measures.

Throughout the product’s service life, the interior of the bus air ducts shall remain clean and dust-free, and the external use of umbrella-shaped accessories such as canopies on the bus air ducts is prohibited, in order to enhance the protective performance of the bus air ducts.

Recently, the XL-IIS compact busbar trunking system from Siemens Busbar Co., Ltd. in Zhenjiang was recognized by the Data Center Branch of the China Computer Users Association as the “2023 Data Center Innovation Product,” while the XL-III compact busbar trunking system was awarded the “2023 Data Center Customer Satisfaction Product.” These accolades underscore Siemens Busbar’s innovative technologies and high-quality services in the data center sector.


Zhenjiang Ximenzi Hosts a Knowledge Competition

A total of nine teams from various departments took part in this competition. After nearly an hour of intense rivalry, the first-, second-, and third-place awards, as well as the Gold Medalist Award, were ultimately presented.


Zhenjiang Ximenzi Conducts EHS Professional Knowledge and Internal Trainer Training

On December 12, Zhenjiang Siemens invited a professional instructor from Shanghai Qian’an Environmental Protection Company to deliver EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) expertise training and internal trainer development sessions. More than 20 participants, including heads and supervisors of the Production Department, equipment administrators, and selected frontline employees, attended the training. The curriculum covered mechanical safety safeguards, hazard identification, and risk assessment, with an introduction to practical tools such as energy control and lockout/tagout procedures. During the session, the instructor enhanced trainees’ understanding of how unsafe behaviors lead to accidents by showing short animated videos on behavioral safety. This training marked the first phase of the company’s EHS program; going forward, Zhenjiang Siemens will implement a comprehensive EHS training plan as scheduled to further elevate the company’s EHS management standards.
