Understand how to ensure that the quality and performance of low-voltage switchgear meet standard requirements, thereby safeguarding the normal operation and safety of the power system.
Low-voltage switchgear is a critical component of power systems, playing an indispensable role in ensuring the system’s reliable operation and safety. To guarantee that the quality and performance of low-voltage switchgear meet specified standards, manufacturers employ a comprehensive suite of testing methods. This article will outline the testing methods and procedures used by busbar trunking system manufacturers to evaluate low-voltage switchgear.
First, the manufacturer conducts a visual inspection of the low-voltage switchgear. They carefully examine the surface for evenness and for any obvious scratches or damage. At the same time, they verify that the color and markings comply with the relevant standards. Although these cosmetic details may seem minor, they play a significant role in the aesthetic appeal and overall quality of the low-voltage switchgear.
Secondly, manufacturers conduct functional testing. They verify that all components of the low-voltage switchgear are operating properly. For example, they test the flexibility and reliability of the switchgear’s operating mechanisms and ensure that protective devices respond promptly to abnormal conditions. In addition, they assess the insulation performance and dielectric strength of the low-voltage switchgear to confirm compliance with safety standards.
In addition, manufacturers conduct temperature and humidity tests. They place low-voltage switchgear in controlled temperature and humidity environments to observe its performance under various conditions. These tests enable manufacturers to evaluate the stability and reliability of the equipment across a range of environmental scenarios, thereby providing users with better product selection and usage guidance.
Finally, the manufacturer conducts safety performance tests. These tests evaluate the low-voltage switchgear’s fire resistance and seismic performance to ensure it remains stable and safe under extreme conditions. In addition, the manufacturer checks the grounding resistance and leakage current of the low-voltage switchgear to verify compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
In summary, busbar trunking system manufacturers employ the following inspection methods for low-voltage switchgear: visual inspection, functional testing, temperature testing, humidity testing, and safety performance testing. The application of these inspection methods ensures that the quality and performance of the low-voltage switchgear meet the relevant standards, thereby safeguarding the normal operation and safety of the power system.
Introduction: This article outlines the methods and procedures used by busbar trunking system manufacturers to inspect low-voltage switchgear. Through visual inspection, functional testing, temperature testing, humidity testing, and safety performance testing, manufacturers can ensure that the quality and performance of low-voltage switchgear meet relevant standards, thereby safeguarding the operation and safety of power systems. Zhenjiang Ximenzi Hosts a Knowledge Competition
A total of nine teams from various departments took part in this competition. After nearly an hour of intense rivalry, the first-, second-, and third-place awards, as well as the Gold Medalist Award, were ultimately presented.
Zhenjiang Ximenzi Conducts EHS Professional Knowledge and Internal Trainer Training
On December 12, Zhenjiang Siemens invited a professional instructor from Shanghai Qian’an Environmental Protection Company to deliver EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) expertise training and internal trainer development sessions. More than 20 participants, including heads and supervisors of the Production Department, equipment administrators, and selected frontline employees, attended the training. The curriculum covered mechanical safety safeguards, hazard identification, and risk assessment, with an introduction to practical tools such as energy control and lockout/tagout procedures. During the session, the instructor enhanced trainees’ understanding of how unsafe behaviors lead to accidents by showing short animated videos on behavioral safety. This training marked the first phase of the company’s EHS program; going forward, Zhenjiang Siemens will implement a comprehensive EHS training plan as scheduled to further elevate the company’s EHS management standards.
