Related to Siemens busbar Installation methods for busbars, requirements for civil engineering works prior to installation, selection and training of installation personnel, verification of on-site delivery and readiness of installation equipment and tools, as well as safety precautions to be observed during the removal and installation of the main busbar.

I. Requirements for Civil Engineering Works Prior to Installation

1. The foundations, structural framework, reserved openings, and embedded parts shall comply with the design requirements for electrical equipment.

2. Upon completion of roof and floor slab construction, no leakage shall be permitted.

3. After completion of the indoor floor construction, mark the floor leveling elevation line on the wall.

4. The foundation and framework shall achieve the strength required for installation.

5. All renovation work on the main carriageway that could potentially be damaged has been completed.

6. Anti-theft measures shall be implemented at locations where busbar trunking is installed.

II. Selection and Training of Personnel Prior to Installation

1. Pre-installation preparations for busbar trunking systems: Installation, operation, and maintenance of the trunking system shall be performed by qualified personnel.

2. Professional personnel should be familiar with the installation, construction, operation, and hazards associated with the equipment; they should also receive systematic training on power supply and testing equipment.

III. Siemens busbar Installation and Removal Procedures

1. Based on the information confirmed by the manufacturer and the purchaser, such as the original drawings and routing diagrams, remove any obstacles and reserve the necessary installation locations.

2. Typically, the dimensions of the reserved opening shall exceed the external dimensions of the compact aluminum busbar trunking by 50 mm to 100 mm. For special requirements, refer to the drawing specifications.

3. The clearance between the Siemens busbar trunking system and walls and ceilings must be sufficient to provide adequate horizontal and vertical space for installation, maintenance, and servicing of the high-strength enclosed busbar trunking system.

4. Implement preventive measures to protect the compact aluminum busbar trunking system from corrosion caused by leakage, dust, and heat sources. Source: Electrical Engineering Technology Home

5. Fabrication of busbar trunking installation hangers: First, determine the location; use a thin string to accurately mark the intended routing; then secure the mounting brackets. When installing the busbars, ensure that the brackets are firmly and securely fastened, particularly for high-voltage common-line busbar trunking, while taking care not to damage the building structure.

6. Perform an insulation test on the dense aluminum busbar trunking units to be installed; installation may proceed only if the test results fall within the acceptable range.

7. During hoisting operations involving waterproof busbar trunking, strict attention must be paid to personal safety and equipment protection to prevent personnel injuries and damage to the compact aluminum busbar trunking.

8. During vertical installation, unless otherwise specified, sections shall generally be installed from bottom to top; effective protective measures must be implemented for already installed dense aluminum busbar trunking systems to prevent foreign objects from entering.

Zhenjiang Ximenzi Conducts EHS Professional Knowledge and Internal Trainer Training

On December 12, Zhenjiang Siemens invited a professional instructor from Shanghai Qian’an Environmental Protection Company to deliver EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) expertise training and internal trainer development sessions. More than 20 participants, including heads and supervisors of the Production Department, equipment administrators, and selected frontline employees, attended the training. The curriculum covered mechanical safety safeguards, hazard identification, and risk assessment, with an introduction to practical tools such as energy control and lockout/tagout procedures. During the session, the instructor enhanced trainees’ understanding of how unsafe behaviors lead to accidents by showing short animated videos on behavioral safety. This training marked the first phase of the company’s EHS program; going forward, Zhenjiang Siemens will implement a comprehensive EHS training plan as scheduled to further elevate the company’s EHS management standards.
